FAQ

What is a fanzine?
A fanzine (often shortened to zine) is an unofficial collection of illustrations and written works compiled into book or PDF form and often accompanied by physical and/or sometimes digital merchandise.
What is flower symbolism?
Flower symbolism and its language have been around for thousands of years, throughout many ancient cultures who used various plants and flowers to symbolize their spirituality and virtues. It wasn’t until the Victorian Period when the concept was popularized and dictionaries of flowers and their meanings were created and sold. This was also called floriography. Bouquets now could contain secret messages of love and other varying emotions between lovers, friends, and perhaps even enemies.
Will there be assignments?
Sage and Chamomile: A Hansry Zine will be using flowers and their varying meanings as a guideline to depicting the many facets of Henry and Hans’ relationship throughout the games (and beyond). We will encourage our contributors to pick from a list of herbs and florals and incorporate them and what they represent into their art and writings to create a beautiful bouquet of a fanzine. Some flexibility is allowed for plants with multiple, varying meanings.
What compensation will the contributors receive?
Contributors will be guaranteed to have a complete digital bundle for free. There will be no financial compensation as all funds will go to charity.
If the zine goes to print, we can currently guarantee purchases at the production price.
What charity will this project be benefiting?
TBD
What about the other characters?
Other characters are allowed to be in a zine submission piece, but Henry and Hans must be in the forefront with focus on them.
Will there be NSFW content?
Sage and Chamomile: A Hansry Zine will be PG-13 with no intentions of a NSFW side project at this time.
Will the use of A.I. be permitted?
Absolutely not! No generative A.I. images or writing will be accepted in this zine project! A standard spellchecker will be only the tool permitted.
